Merino wool and camel worsted/aran yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Send in the Clowns”, named after the Frank Sinatra song that played during the end credits of the movie “Joker” released in 2019.
This yarn was inspired by the Joker, played by Joaquin Phoenix. The color represented in the yarn are that of his his green hair, teal face paint, yellow shirt and red suit.
The yarn is soft, plump and definitely on the chunkier side as far as aran yarns go. It is perfect for making items like scarves and cowls.
It is an Aran (weight 4) non-superwash yarn composed of 55% Merino wool and 45% camel. It contains 153 yds/140m and weighs 100 g.
The yarn has been dyed by hand using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
As with all Yarntuary yarns, each hank is dyed individually by hand so there may be some variation between hanks.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water. Air Dry.
