Merino Wool superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Salt and Shadow”, inspired by and named after the song by Thrice.
The colors represented in the yarn are white and light and dark tones of grey, creating both a modern and dramatic look. This colorway pairs well with lots of other colorways, too!
The colors remind me of a sheep dog too. 😊
This yarn is soft and luxurious . It can be used to make socks, shawls, sweaters and other garments.
This is a 2-ply superwash yarn, composed of 100% Merino wool. It contains 399 yd and weighs 100 g.
The wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
Each hank is dyed by hand individually and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
