Merino wool and nylon superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “No Cars Go”, named after the song by Arcade Fire.
To me the song is about finding safety in a quiet place where you can shut out the world and get lost in your imagination.
The color was inspired by the chartreuse piano key on the Maxence Cyrin album Novö Piano where he covered the song.
This yarn is bright, gorgeous, luxurious and soft. It would make beautiful scarves and shawls.
This is a fingering/sock (weight 1), superwash, 4 ply yarn, composed of 90% Merino wool and 10% nylon. Each hank contains ~437 yd and weighs 100 g.
The fiber is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
