Merino wool and nylon superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Making Contact”, named after the score track from Stranger Things by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.

The colorway is inspired by the blackness in the scenes of Stranger Things Season one when Eleven is in the depravation tank and about to make contact with the Demogorgon.

The color is a deep, pretty black.

As with all Yarntuary yarn, each hank of yarn is dyed individually by hand.

The yarn is a fingering weight, superwash, sock yarn (weight 1), composed of 80% merino wool and 20% nylon. It contains 400 yd and weighs 100 g.

Due to the nature of the process, each hank is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.

The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.

Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry

The bare wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.

I do accept returns and exchanges. Your happiness as a customer of the shop is very important to me!

Check out companion colorways “I Know What I Saw”, inspired by the color of the water on the deprivation tank/bath, and “Eleven is Gone”, inspired by Eleven in her suit and electrodes in Season 1.
