🎧“Knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky, breeze and it don’t seem fair
Only worry in the world
Is the tide gonna reach my chair...”
- Zac Brown Band with Jimmy Buffett
This listing is for one hank of hand dyed Merino wool/cashmere/nylon sock yarn in the Yarntuary colorway Knee Deep, named after the song by Zac Brown Band with Jimmy Buffett.
The colors in this shawl represent sand, sea and those conch shells that have stripes of rich rust and cream on the outside and soft pink on the inside.
This yarn is soft and luxurious. It can be used to make socks, shawls, sweaters and other garments.
It is a fingering weight, superwash, sock yarn, composed of 80% merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon. It contains 425 yd and weighs 100 g.
Each hank is dyed by hand and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another. If working with more than one hank in a project, it is recommended to switch between hanks every few rows.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.Â
