🎶 “I’m laying low
Beneath the vines
I hear the sound
Of clouds going by...”
- Norah Jones and Rodrigo Amarante

This listing is for a PDF (instant-download) of the Falling Blanket Crochet Pattern, named after the song “Falling” by Norah Jones and Rodrigo Amarante...

This blanket is soft, cozy and warm. Looking at its detailed, pretty stitches makes me feel peaceful as I crochet.

It has a plushness to it made thick by the stitches, which makes it great to use as a baby playmat or cushy picnic blanket in addition to using as a regular blanket/throw. This blanket is washer and dryer safe!

The pattern is easy to follow, containing specific, detailed and concise instructions on how to make this blanket in eight sizes:
1) Baby Lovey
2) Baby Security
3) Baby Stroller/Car
4) Baby Receiving/Play Mat
5) Toddler to Teen
6) Adult Throw Small
7) Adult Throw Medium
8) Adult Throw Large (2-person)

Instructions are given with pictures after each row over 10 pages. Stitches used are ch (chain), sc (single crochet), sc2tog (single crochet 2 together), hdc (half double crochet) and sl (slip stitch). The pattern gives photos and/or written detail on how to make these stitches. There is also a section at the end of the pattern that shows you how to sc and hdc so if you don’t know how, now is a good time to try! I’m here to help so why not jump in!

Pattern repeats are easy to remember so you’ll be crocheting mindlessly in no time! I find it easy to make these blankets while hanging out with family or riding in the car because they don’t require too much concentration.

Materials used:
Bernat Blanket or Bernat Baby Blanket (100% polyester, 220 yd/201m, 300g/10.5 oz)
-Size N (9.0 mm) and P (10 mm) crochet hooks
-Tapestry needle, scissors, st marker

The experience level of this pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate, but is fun to work up no matter your experience level! If you are a beginner and want to try, give it a shot; there are plenty of pictures with stitch explanation and I’m here to help if you need me!

To print without pictures, “Select All” in PDF and paste to a Word document.

I don’t accept returns or exchanges on digital products, however I am here to make sure you are happy with the product and will happily assist in any way I can!
