PDF instant-download of the Change Triangle Capelet Crochet Pattern, named after the powerful song by Lana del Rey. I did not set out to design a piece with the song in mind, but once I saw the colors stitched together, the words and melody washed over me.
The sentiment of change can be felt looking at this capelet, at the soft and pretty colors against the stormy grey that meets them. Change can also be seen as the eyes move along textures, from smooth to thick and thin. In the smooth I can see a girl smiling in a pastel dress and in the thick and thin, the choppy storm brewing within her. The lightness and darkness of this shawl are captivating and intriguing.
The construction of this capelet is simple and laid out in a clear and detailed manner in the pattern. There are plenty of pictures and helpful tips. The capelet is mostly cubes, each of which takes about 20 minutes to make (but you may be faster than me)! Once you get the hang of the stitches, they are easy to crank out. Due to the construction of this capelet, customization for different sizes is easy and explained in the pattern.
You can wear it backwards or forwards, as a triangle shawl or a capelet. No matter which way you decide, it looks like it is supposed to be worn that way.
