Merino Wool superwash sport yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Mele Kalikimaka”, inspired by the grass skirts of hula girls and named after the version of the song by Jimmy Buffett.
The rich green color of the yarn remind me of the grass skirts and that Hawaiian vibe I got from looking at the yarn then led me to think of the song Mele Kalikimaka!
This is a 2-ply sport weight, superwash yarn composed of 100% Merino wool. It contains 328 yd and weighs 100 g.
This yarn is wonderful to work with and has a nice shine. You can make just about any garment you like with this yarn, such as a scarf, shawl, beanie, mittens, etc.
The bare wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
The yarn has been hand dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but it is still recommended to hand wash garments made from this yarn on their own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
