Merino wool superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway "Sour Candy", inspired by the costume of Cotton Candy off the Masked Dancer and named after the song Sour Candy by Lady Gaga, which she danced to on the show.
This colorway is bright, colorful and fun. The cotton candy pink, whimsical purple, cheerful yellow, powder blue and deep mint are sure to lift your spirits and give you something extra pretty to stare at as you crochet or knit. Bonus: there are silver sparkles throughout the yarn!
The yarn is soft and the ply is gorgeous. It is also versatile in that it can be used to make socks, shawls, scarves and other garments.
It is a 3-ply fingering weight, superwash, sock yarn, composed of 70% merino wool, 20% nylon and 10% stellina. It contains 400 yd and weighs 100 g.
The bare wool comes from South America and is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
Each hank is dyed by hand individually and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
