Merino wool superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Moment 4 Life”, named after the song by Nicki Minaj and inspired by Dorian Hunter (season 10 winner of Master Chef) and her pink Champagne cake.
Going from hearing Dorian talk about coming from a job where she worked just to pay the bills and then seeing her show off her talent and win the competition was a true inspiration for me.
The yarn, like the cake, has three layers of cake color and three layers of icing color, as well as cream and warm hot pink, which represent the toppings Dorian made for her cake.
This colorway is sweet, unique, fun and girly!
The yarn is soft and has a gorgeous ply. It is versatile in that it can be used to make socks, shawls, scarves and other garments.
This is a fingering weight, 2-ply, superwash, sock yarn, composed of 100% merino wool. It contains 399 yd and weighs 100 g.
The wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
Each hank is dyed by hand individually and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
