Merino wool and nylon superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Cherry”, inspired by the lyrics of the Lana Del Rey song.
Colors represented in the yarn are that of cherries and wine, rosemary and thyme, peaches and black to represent the damage done by a fire.
This colorway stitches up gorgeously, creating timeless, modern garments.
The yarn is soft and luxurious. It is also versatile in that it can be used to make socks as well as shawls, scarves and other garments.
This is a fingering weight, superwash, sock yarn, composed of 80% Merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon. It contains 425 yd and weighs 100 g.
The wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
Each hank is dyed by hand individually and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
