Marled Merino wool, Peruvian Fine Highland wool and nylon sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Astronaut in the Ocean”, named after the song by Masked Wolf.
This colorway is vibrant and the orange and blue colors are deep. They were inspired by orange space suits and the blue in NASA’s insignia. These colors combined are sure to create something eye-catching!
The marled wools add another element of uniqueness to this yarn.
As with all Yarntuary yarn, each hank of yarn is dyed individually by hand.
The marled yarn is composed of 40% Merino wool, 40% Peruvian Fine Highland wool and 20% nylon. It is a 4-ply sock/ fingering weight 1 yarn containing 425 yd and weighing 100 g.
Due to the nature of the process, each hank is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water. It is not super wash due to the Peruvian Fine Highland wool. Air dry.
The bare wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
