This listing is for one hank of hand dyed Merino wool and nylon yarn in the colorway “Astronaut in the Ocean”, named after the song by Masked Wolf. 

This colorway was inspired by orange space suits and the blue in NASA’s insignia. These colors combined are sure to create something eye-catching!

What’s makes this variant different from the final colorway? The orange and blue colors are lighter and the blue is a little warmer. 

This yarn is soft and lovely to work with. You can use it to make socks, shawls, scarves and other garments.

It is an 80% Merino wool, 20% Nylon, 3-ply, superwash sock yarn composed of 400 yd/366 m, 100g.

Due to the nature of the process, each hank is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.

The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.

Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
