Merino wool superwash sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in a one of a kind variant of the Yarntuary colorway “Ewe, You Make Making Fun”, inspired by lemon poundcake and named after the song You Make Loving Fun by Fleetwood Mac.
This one-off was made during design of the colorway trial #2. The yellow in this one is not quite as warm as the final colorway and the crust has more variation in tones than the final, having areas of both intense camel/crust color and more dull color.
The colors featured in the yarn represent the warm lemon cake color, the camel colored crust and the white sugar splotches on top! This makes for a very sweet combo!
The yarn is very soft and the stitch definition is wonderful.
This is a fingering weight, 2-ply, superwash, sock yarn, composed of 100% merino wool. It is 399 yd and 100 g.
The wool comes from Italy and is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
Each hank is dyed by hand and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
