Merino wool sock/fingering yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Hankaroni” (or yarn hank macaroni)! There are only two Yarntuary colorways that don’t have musical names and this is one of them.
The cheesy macaroni yellow color of this yarn is so yummy, happy and bright! It makes me happy every time I stitch with it.

At some point, the idea of little hanks of yarn taking the shape of elbow macaroni (by just bending in the middle) crossed my mind. I loved thinking about little cheesy yellow hanks of yarn and had to make it a real thing!
The marled wool really adds an interesting element to the yarn, which is composed of 40% Merino wool, 40% Peruvian fine highland wool and 20% nylon. It is a 4-ply sock/ fingering weight 1 yarn containing 425 yd and weighing 100 g.
As with all Yarntuary yarn, each hank of yarn is dyed individually by hand.
Due to the nature of the process, each hank is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water. It is not super wash. Air dry.
The bare wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
