Merino wool and camel worsted/aran yarn hand dyed in the Yarntuary colorway “Gaal Leaves Synnax”, inspired by the green rain coats worn by Gaal as she left Synnax in the TV show Foundation and named after the score track by Bear McCreary that played during that scene.
The contrast between the lighter and darker areas is really eye catching. The colors are deep, vibrant and even prettier in person.
This yarn is soft, plush and definitely on the chunkier side as far as aran yarns go. One hank would make a great cowl or beanie. 3 hanks would make the perfect scarf.
It is an Aran (weight 4) non-superwash yarn composed of 55% Merino wool and 45% camel. It contains 153 yds/140m and weighs 100 g.
As with all Yarntuary yarns, each hank is dyed by hand and unique!
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water. Air dry.
The bare wool is sourced from suppliers that do not perform mulesing.
