Hand dyed Merino and Peruvian Fine Highland Wool yarn in a OOAK (one of a kind) variant (trial 5) of the Yarntuary colorway “Velvet”, inspired by red velvet cake (two-tiered) and named after the song by KIRBY.
Colors represented in the yarn are the rich reddish maroon of the cake and cream of the icing. Looks delicious, but don’t eat it!
The main difference between the final colorway and this variant is there is this variant is cooler in tone, the bleed is a fuschia color and the icing is white (versus a more warm buttercream color).
The marled yarn is composed of 40% Merino wool, 40% Peruvian Fine Highland wool and 20% nylon. It is a 4-ply sock/fingering weight 1 yarn containing 425 yd and weighing 100 g.
The yarn has been dyed by hand using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water. Air Dry.
