Merino wool DK weight yarn hand dyed in a OOAK (one-of-a-kind) variant (trial 1) of the Yarntuary colorway “Diet Mountain Dew”, inspired by the song by Lana Del Rey. In the end I decided to use the dye recipe for this variant as the final colorway.
The color of the yarn is a greenish chartreuse.
The main difference between the final colorway and this variant is that this variant is lighter and cooler in tone.
This yarn is a DK weight yarn, composed of 100% superwash merino wool. It contains 246 yd and weighs 100 g.
It stitches up nicely and can be used for a wide range of projects, such as beanies and cowls.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash garments made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
