Merino wool and nylon superwash sock weight yarn hand dyed in a OOAK (one of a kind) variant (trial 2) of the Yarntuary colorway “Phat Butt”, inspired by strawberry Pop-Tarts and named after the song by Ice Spice (listen for “Pop-Tarts” in the lyrics).
The colors represented in the yarn are that of the filling, crust, icing and green, red, pink, orange and yellow sprinkles.
This variant batch differs from the signature colorway in that the colors of the filling, the crust and the sprinkles are all a little different. The green sprinkle is moregano of a mint color instead of green.
The yarn is 4-ply fine superwash Merino wool. It is fingering/sock (weight 1), each hank containing 437 yd and weighing 100 g.
Each hank is dyed by hand and due to the nature of the process, each one is unique. There is not one that is exactly like another. If working with more than one hank in a project, it is recommended to switch between hanks every few rows.
The yarn has been dyed using professional acid dyes and thoroughly rinsed in order to prevent bleeding, but I would still recommend hand washing on its own for the first wash.
Hand wash items made with this yarn in room temperature water or machine wash on gentle cycle in cool water with low spin. Air dry.
