PDF instant-download of the She Smiled Sweetly Beanie Crochet Pattern, named after the Rolling Stones song.
The beanie is playful and beautiful, like a woman that makes you smile, but I can also see the intensity of the man's feelings when I look at the stitches in the top of the hat and the tumultuous nature of the stitches.
I have worn the one I made for myself almost daily since I finished it. I am obsessed with its beauty and soft, rippling stitches. It is super soft, oh so cozy, very complementary when worn and pairs well with many outfits. It is one of those accessories you can expect to get compliments on for sure!
The size of the beanie is a one-size fits most adult women. It measures 12 in tall with pom pom (8 inches tall without pom pom), 9.8 in wide at brim, 9.5 inches wide at middle. It has a snug, comfortable fit when first worn and gets a little roomier once worn a few times. Customizing this beanie to a smaller or larger size would be easy to do and I have guidance for this written into the pattern.
There are so many yarn and pom pom combinations you could use with this pattern! If you haven't yet made anything in velvet, now is the time! This pattern would also be good for a skein of yarn you have lying around that you don't know what to do with!
These beanies make super awesome gifts (I mean - who doesn't love a beanie with a pom), are quick to make and don't use very much yarn!
Materials used are ONE SKEIN Yarnspirations Bernat Velvet Stitch ‘N Win – !!!! 1 skein makes 4-5 beanies !!!! – each beanie uses ~40g (100% polyester, 315 yds/288 m, 300g/10.5 oz), size J (6.0 mm) crochet hook, pom pom, stitch marker(s) and tapestry needle.
This is a fun, quick project to make and incorporates several different types of crochet stitches, such as the sc, hdc, fpsc, as well as different ways to work into those stitches, all of which has been written into the pattern very clearly and with great detail.
There are pictures to serve as guides throughout the document. Some of the stitches used would be familiar to an intermediate crocheter, but possibly not to the beginning to intermediate crocheter, like the fpsc stitch.
There is a section included in the pattern that details how to work this stitch, as well as other helpful information that may not be needed by all crocheters when following the pattern, but could be beneficial to some.
I do not accept returns or exchanges on digital items. However, if you are unsatisfied for any reason, please let me know and I will make sure to work through the issue. Customer service is very important to me! Should you have any questions at all while following the pattern, I am happy and ready to answer them and help in any way I can!
I hope you love making and wearing this beanie as much as I do!
