With this one pattern, you can make a SHAWL, INFINITY SHAWL, SCARF, BLANKET AND COWL!
Although you can use just about any yarn with this pattern (looks best in worsted weight and anything lighter), specific instructions are given for how to make these items in both fingering and worsted weight (easy to customize the items to any size, too)!
This pattern is dear to me as it was inspired by one of my favorite songs, “Goodbye” by Apparat with Soap and Skin. Yarntuary’s hand dyed yarn in the color “Goodbye” was used to design this pattern and reflects the colors seen in the very last second of the opening credits of the Netflix show “Dark”.
In addition to making the garments in this pattern in Yarntuary’s sock yarn, I also love to make them in Lion Brand Jeans (as well as DK and Sport weight yarns)!
With Lion Brand Jeans, the pattern items work up QUICKLY, making the pattern an awesome go-to when you need last minute gifts for the Christmas crunch or markets.
The pattern is also reversible; the stitching on both sides is pretty! One side is covered in little bumps for the texture lover and the other side has more of a subtle, almost geometric look.
The majority of the pattern consists of working through repeat rows that you are sure to commit to memory quickly, making it a perfect pairing for your favorite Netflix shows, like Dark!
Materials:
Fingering Weight: 1 hank for Scarf, 1 hank for Cowl, 2 hanks for Shawl or Infinity Shawl
Lion Brand Jeans: 1 skein for Cowl, 2 skeins for Scarf, 3 skeins for Shawl and Infinity Shawl, 7 skeins for Blanket
Crochet hook: Size D-E (3-3.5 mm) for fingering weight, size I (5.5 mm) for worsted weight
Tapestry Needle and Scissors
Stitches used: Chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, front post single crochet. If you aren’t familiar with any of these stitches, no worries. The pattern comes with plenty of photos and tips. There are also tons of you tube videos for each of these stitches. Plus, you have me to reach out to for help should you need it!
The level of this pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate. I am wiling to help any skill level learn - all you have to do is master the repeat rows!
