PDF (instant-download) of the Falling Scarf Crochet Pattern, named after the song “Falling” by Norah Jones and Rodrigo Amarante.
This scarf is soft, plush, cozy and warm. Looking at its detailed, pretty stitches makes me feel peaceful as I crochet.
It looks gorgeous hanging around the neck or wrapped around. When worn wrapped around, the part of the scarf that crosses in front of the neck can be left as is or folded inward to create a pretty cuff.
Best part: it takes 2 hrs or less to make (depending on size you choose to make), making it a perfect gift to make and give!
The pattern is easy to follow, containing specific, detailed and concise instructions on how to make this scarf in three sizes (or in any size you wish; it’s very easy to customize):
1) Adult
2) Child (6-10)
3) Child (4-5)
Instructions are given with pictures after each row over 10 pages. Stitches used are ch (chain), sc (single crochet), sc2tog (single crochet 2 together), hdc (half double crochet) and sl (slip stitch). The pattern gives photos and/or written detail on how to make these stitches. There is also a section at the end of the pattern that shows you how to sc and hdc so if you don’t know how, now is a good time to try! I’m here to help so why not jump in!
Pattern repeats are easy to remember so you’ll be crocheting mindlessly in no time! I find it easy to make this scarf while hanging out with family or riding in the car because they don’t require too much concentration.
